This whole year has been so different! But, instead of focusing on the negative… I’m trying to see it as something new with possibilities and potential. I think that’s what spring means to me… A new beginning! I decided to focus on the colourful new greens of spring. There aren’t flowers yet… but they’re coming!

It’s been a tough year and I feel torn apart! I feel like I’ve stitched myself back together… kind of like Frankenstein. And that was my inspiration. I started with a base that could be his skin and then added stitches on a diagonal.

This crazy world changed so quickly! And, together, we’re all trying to figure out what it means… forcing us to look at things in a whole new light. I still don’t know if I have the solution… but it all starts with an idea.

I feel anxious all the time! I know I have friends and family to support me… but I am stressed all the time. Nothing feels ‘normal’ and it feels like I’m caught in a swirling wind. It just keeps circling and engulfs me.

I’m just hiding. When animals feel threatened some of them turn to camouflage. They hide and wait for it to be safe again. That’s how I feel right now. I’m hiding.

I’m just holding on! When big storms pass… trees with longer and stronger roots are more likely to survive. That’s what this year has been all about for me… Holding on until the storm passes.

I can’t begin to express how thankful I am! While we are all struggling… there are so many amazing people who work tirelessly to help others. Thank you so much! Your hearts are like sun shining out to brighten the rest of us. You. Are. Amazing.
